Are you trying to say people dependent on drugs.... aren't people? Thats pretty cold. Its this kind of thinking that keeps people addicted, if people ( or sorry, drug addicts) lose support from family and friends, that will only increase the emotions that lead to drug use in the first place, reinforcing the cycle. To reduce drug use/abuse in the population, I believe we should be tearing down the walls that isolate affected people, not the opposite.

If I misunderstand your meaning, please feel free to clarify.

Either way though, I don't think this is the right subforum for this discussion.

i don't think any of the drinkers on this site are really going to deny that.... this site really doesn't have too much of a pro alcohol attitude..

you will find a lot of people saying clean heroin is a better drug than alcohol, and all drugs should be legal... a lot of the people on this site just use non toxic drugs like psychedelics and aren't even harming themselves. some of them work real jobs living responsible lives.. idk what this post is really getting at.


i'm definitely a person unless i've transcended into some other reality where i just think i have a body. pretty sure i am a person and i use drugs...

This is not meant to be entertaining. How can drug addicts claim to have authority over People? People refuse to enable drug addicts. Ethanol users are drug addicts. People will make our society drug-free.

This is different than a perspective. This is reality.

I am on this site like everyone else, to have a discussion and ethanol is similar to sleep medications.

OK. Now you are making some statements, and want to read what others think about your ideas.

But remember, this is a drug forum for people who use drugs. Some are addicts, others are recovered addicts, some take drugs because of medical reasons, and some just for fun every now and then.

Coming as a new user to this forum stating that drug addicts aren't people is not thesmartest thing to do if you really want to have serious and productive discussions.

i don't really know many or any examples of drug addicts claiming to have authority over people.. i don't really get what this means.

like maybe they claim they have authority over themselves. that they choose what is legal to do with their body and don't follow laws... but most drug addicts really don't care about what other people are doing, at least on the level of if they use drugs or not

i guess drug free is good, but using drugs is also good for some people and doesn't really cause problems in society if done responsibly.. idk. everyone is different.. i hear some wildly irresponsible users even on this site as a harm reduction site.

i wasn't sure what ethanol is, i thought it was like bootleg alcohol, but apparently it's the same as alcohol? idk.. i don't think anybody is going to argue with you and say it's good.. some responsible people have a drink every now and then and are fine, but even those people aren't going to deny it ruins people's lives... the choice to use and how to use is just something that separates different types of people. it shows people's characters. maybe a lot of the people using are not good or greedy, but to say everyone is one way and drug users aren't people like to imply they don't care of love their families and stuff, it's just not really true.

they are finding a lot of drugs that were thought to have no recreational value and harm some people are working well for stuff like depression and anxiety... like some people taking a low dose of lsd every few months is proving to get rid of depression and anxiety for some people... using a drug like shrooms or acid infrequently to cure these symptoms saves so much resources tbh... i'm sure it's not a solution for everyone, but it actually works better for some than the standard pills doctors have been giving... stuff like ketamine has been shown to have medicinal value too.

in the 70's and 80's unless a person was a heavy psychedelic user, you probably wouldn't hear people saying acid cures stuff like depression or anxiety.. it was just something to party with and get fucked up on.

in a medical setting there's a lot of possibility to help people's minds.

yeah. some people that come to this board might agree with you.. some people are indeed looking for a poster to say "sober is better". they just can't have drugs in their lives and more, and would love to be like you...

however, the average poster on this board probably has some drugs they still use. they are probably in a place where it makes their lives easier, and they aren't really harming themselves, so they are pretty happy... a lot of the posters have a history of abuse and are getting to a point where they are living healthier and working jobs they like and stuff... so i mean, people manage to live positive lives with drugs, and that's some of the posters on this site.. i don't think you are going to start any type of drug free revolution through this board or anything... you probably won't actually change any of the posters here's minds if this is a real poster... idk.. people are obviously having troube taking this seriously... i'm sure you could think of some scientific reasons as to why to stay drug free too.. maybe you could find some younger people or people struggling with drugs on reddit to influence... the usual poster on this site is not going to care what you have to say... as a matter of fact you're just going to bring out the "i love drugs. fuck you" response in some people.
