Are you trying to say people dependent on drugs.... aren't people? Thats pretty cold. Its this kind of thinking that keeps people addicted, if people ( or sorry, drug addicts) lose support from family and friends, that will only increase the emotions that lead to drug use in the first place, reinforcing the cycle. To reduce drug use/abuse in the population, I believe we should be tearing down the walls that isolate affected people, not the opposite.

If I misunderstand your meaning, please feel free to clarify.

Either way though, I don't think this is the right subforum for this discussion.

I think nagas have the best fruity flavour tho. My go-to cost-effective way to get tasty spicy dish is naga jolokia sauce.

i don't think any of the drinkers on this site are really going to deny that.... this site really doesn't have too much of a pro alcohol attitude..

you will find a lot of people saying clean heroin is a better drug than alcohol, and all drugs should be legal... a lot of the people on this site just use non toxic drugs like psychedelics and aren't even harming themselves. some of them work real jobs living responsible lives.. idk what this post is really getting at.


i'm definitely a person unless i've transcended into some other reality where i just think i have a body. pretty sure i am a person and i use drugs...

This is not meant to be entertaining. How can drug addicts claim to have authority over People? People refuse to enable drug addicts. Ethanol users are drug addicts. People will make our society drug-free.

This is different than a perspective. This is reality.

I am on this site like everyone else, to have a discussion and ethanol is similar to sleep medications.

OK. Now you are making some statements, and want to read what others think about your ideas.

But remember, this is a drug forum for people who use drugs. Some are addicts, others are recovered addicts, some take drugs because of medical reasons, and some just for fun every now and then.

Coming as a new user to this forum stating that drug addicts aren't people is not thesmartest thing to do if you really want to have serious and productive discussions.

i don't really know many or any examples of drug addicts claiming to have authority over people.. i don't really get what this means.

like maybe they claim they have authority over themselves. that they choose what is legal to do with their body and don't follow laws... but most drug addicts really don't care about what other people are doing, at least on the level of if they use drugs or not

i guess drug free is good, but using drugs is also good for some people and doesn't really cause problems in society if done responsibly.. idk. everyone is different.. i hear some wildly irresponsible users even on this site as a harm reduction site.

i wasn't sure what ethanol is, i thought it was like bootleg alcohol, but apparently it's the same as alcohol? idk.. i don't think anybody is going to argue with you and say it's good.. some responsible people have a drink every now and then and are fine, but even those people aren't going to deny it ruins people's lives... the choice to use and how to use is just something that separates different types of people. it shows people's characters. maybe a lot of the people using are not good or greedy, but to say everyone is one way and drug users aren't people like to imply they don't care of love their families and stuff, it's just not really true.

in the 70's and 80's unless a person was a heavy psychedelic user, you probably wouldn't hear people saying acid cures stuff like depression or anxiety.. it was just something to party with and get fucked up on.

in a medical setting there's a lot of possibility to help people's minds.

yeah. some people that come to this board might agree with you.. some people are indeed looking for a poster to say "sober is better". they just can't have drugs in their lives and more, and would love to be like you...

however, the average poster on this board probably has some drugs they still use. they are probably in a place where it makes their lives easier, and they aren't really harming themselves, so they are pretty happy... a lot of the posters have a history of abuse and are getting to a point where they are living healthier and working jobs they like and stuff... so i mean, people manage to live positive lives with drugs, and that's some of the posters on this site.. i don't think you are going to start any type of drug free revolution through this board or anything... you probably won't actually change any of the posters here's minds if this is a real poster... idk.. people are obviously having troube taking this seriously... i'm sure you could think of some scientific reasons as to why to stay drug free too.. maybe you could find some younger people or people struggling with drugs on reddit to influence... the usual poster on this site is not going to care what you have to say... as a matter of fact you're just going to bring out the "i love drugs. fuck you" response in some people.

Society has laws that say there is a difference between drug addicts and people. Drug addicts use drugs. People are drug-free. There are ethanol drug addicts that refuse to accept the fact that they are drug addicts. This is what I am saying.

yeah... huh... i think this site is generally in favor of legalizing all drugs.

might cause some other problems with society not really being equal in terms of what people get paid to do different jobs... so there's kind of a lot of problems with what's going on all through out the world because of that and other things which is a pretty complex topic and not really basic drug discussion, which i think this thread is still in.. but yeah.

if there were no drugs, that would stop a lot of people from caring to work... maybe it'd be better so people with family's that wanted to progress in society with out drugs can really run everything and thrive... some people really only maintain their jobs to keep their drug habbits. that's what their life is all about, and they do a fine job... idk. i'm sure some people would like to give certain jobs to non drug users. the druggies are just going to support illegal trade.... but honestly when people support illegal drugs, it all eventually turns into some one needing to go to the grocery store and buying whatever like they normally would.. the money doesn't just disapear when it gets in the hands of someone doing illegal stuff. that's probably why the government doesn't really care.... plus they can experiment with seeing who will take stuff like fentanyl with drugs being illegal.. i really don't think fentanyl would be as popular if people had the choices of other drugs... drugs being illegal might just be that way because more people die with them being illegal. population control even if that's not the real reason why it was set up the way things are. maybe people that are willing to jepordize their lives and take random street drugs aren't wanted in society... i don't really know what would happen if all drugs were legalized.

some people just like alcohol and don't care that it kills them.. they can get around in society and drink while they slowly rot... idk... why would you care if they are lowering their life expectancy? it just creates more room for people that want to live.

with all the alcohol people drink, think about how much land that is taking up that people can't build property or roads on.. the more shit we have like that, in case there is an emergency with food shortage some day, they can just use all the land for alcohol to grow food... they also use a ton of land to grow all the stuff to create medicinal drugs.. most of those drugs are very over prescribed.. someday they are just gonna use all that land to grow food or for more housing... people will eventually use less of all sorts of drugs... if some one needs anti-depressants every day or like a serving of psychedelic mushrooms every few months, and they are both curing depression, which one is better for the whole of the world, obviously the one that is using less land to grow what it takes to make the drug... just some stuff people don't think about..

what's going on now with drugs could just be a temporary thing.

I was joking about all the sensitive data. But what is your point? Yes excessive alcohol use is bad, believe me I know that all too well. Caffeine and Nicotine, if someone smokes or uses chewing tobacco or what if they need caffeine to avoid a headache from coffee withdrawal? Are they not a person. I drink wine. I have a medical marijuana card. I would do shrooms if I could find them. What I am saying is that somehow ethanol drug addicts are using drugs and using force to stop other drug addicts from using drugs. Drug-free people have to put up with the nonsense that ethanol, nicotine & caffeine cause. Nicotine is a pesticide. Wikipedia says Caffeine is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant of the methylxanthine class and is the most commonly consumed psychoactive substance globally. Make up our minds already. i don't think we are going to be a drug free society with how popular psychedelics are becoming and with marijuana becoming legalized...

part of me thinks that no drugs should be legal, and only people showing signs of artistic potential should get to use drugs in controlled environments... but really, people have great life changing experiences with drugs and they aren't artists, so who's to say who is supposed to be doing what. i think there is just some sense to letting jimmy hendrix play on acid at woodstock, or even let a band like korn just use meth for the hell of it. in a lot of cases, the musicians get sick of certain drugs, but it still effects their art. like neil young played on coke for a while, and it kind of switched up his style. seems cool to me.. some people really get nothing out of coke..i'd like to ask neil young if he feels like drugs helped change his style or if it was just a waste of time... personally i find art/music/and drugs to be really spiritual to me... i think i might be getting something out of it that normal people might not get... however on the end of that, i know that's not true of all people. some people are really better off after using drugs that aren't artists.

i truely believe there is great art and music that wouldn't've been made with out drugs... art and music is what life is about to me.. there are some other things to experience, but art and music are pretty much the greatest thing... people can enjoy this that aren't the creators too.. maybe someone in the future listening to jimmy hendrix play at woodstock sent their vibes back in time to his trip to make him play.. like fans prey for the art... i believe psychedelics or even art with out drugs or psychedelics can be spiritual, however some people find their spiritual path with drugs.

drugs are for anybody that wants to try them... they can let people realize all the emotions they are capable of... some one could even have a life changing experience with alcohol. not a very good drug for the most part, but it could bring out something special in some one. could also bring out badness... like mdma is supposedly a very therapuetic drug, i could very well see people saying "oh have a life changing experience with alcohol in a night of drinking with your friends," and it has the same lasting effect on ptsd as mdma.. maybe anyways... never under estimate the power of the sober mind too.

i don't know what you mean... some people say his wood stock performance wasn't the best, but it was at least a challenging interesting experience. i haven't seen the whole thing... i thought he died from barbituates... i think if it were today with the rep of that drug, he might've just stayed clear of them... i really don't know.. i think with the better quality of pot now days, it might be a better time being a rock star...i would've thought hendrix smoked high quality pot though, but who knows with what high times looked like back then.

santana never used lsd after woodstock or whatever performance it was where he used it when he was younger supposedly but he said he tried shrooms and other drugs and found them to be motivational and interesting to play with is what i got out of the interviews i saw with him on you tube talking about it later on. i swear using psychedelics actually lets me tune certain stuff with instruments that my brain wouldn't normally be able to hear. maybe that's just like an ego problem where i want to do better when using drugs though. who knows.

The 19th amendment is partially to blame. Women get the right to vote and then came Prohibition. But it did help a lot of broke Italian, Jewish, and Irish immigrant men become rich and powerful. Yep prohibition was a failure. Organized crime became a part of America because of it.

Your points are beyond foolish. Look at how they go after opiods and have never really given any controversial drugs a chance.

Everyone should try to stay as Healthy as possible. Just because there is a poison berry bush doesn't mean that you should eat them !!

If there is no need to overindulge there won't be such a demand for things that are not in fact healthy and the best choice.

At this point the best that can be done for the human condition is to ween .... as much as possible and whenever possible.

All that everyone should focus their goals towards is eating from the healthy food pyramid and drinking water and milk.

That's it. And that will be a difficult enough existence so why try to even make it worse.

Sometimes less can be more and less will be better. And then keep on going from there.

All I mean to say is to stop all of this overindulgence and just maybe things can get better. 🌻

I don't drink alcohol but it absolutely can be toxic and poison and there are much better solutions than alcohol as one.

I don't want to get on too much of a rant right now .... but overindulgence it seems never makes anything ... anything

ever better at all.

Don't try to drink and function ... and actually you should try not to even drink at all. The End.

No it doesn't because unlike schedule 1 drugs, ethanol is a very well needed substance and I ain't even talking about drinks.

Maybe, depending on the state, mine 15 y.o. to drive and most 16y.o. but New Jersey and Manhattan 17y.o. and 18 y.o. respectively. When you have to fill a car you will see a sticker that says10% of the gas is ethanol that US drivers put in our cars is ethanol in America( not sure about diesel)

Oh that's right you, said New Jersey. I hate the fact that those family type beaches look as bland and boring as the Beach in Jaws. Amity Island New York a fictional place. But the beaches there seemed to have brown water also, few small waves and worst of all family friendly.

I nearly died crossing a vehicle only bridge. Ocean City was a meeting place of sorts many years ago for an almost full family reunion. Also Jaws ruined my childhood vacations and some idiot made a lot of towns in New Jersey dry, but that is changing.

Fluoride is a drug and it is in our drinking water 🚰. Unless you drink only bottled water.

I nearly died because of that stupid dry island provision. Not sure it still is, though. No alcohol sold. But it can be bought over on the other side of the bridge, in both directions; a bar with carryout and a booze super market.

I like the search engine Duckduckgo, and type in 15 uses for ethanol.&≈

But it is interesting to see you still in character and not a hint of a personality or any charisma.

Your point, that you are failing to make is ridiculous and won't ever happen; The Prohibition 2.0.

A lot of people have been killed for losing drugs. Drug dealers robbed and can't pay their supplier. Drug raid at a stash house and an angry supplier who wants his drugs, or what he would have been paid for his drugs. If not you may die unless you are a better shot than him.

Alcohol can be a dangerous drug. Definitely bad for me, as I am an alcoholic.

However, most people who drink alcohol do so responsibly and without serious health consequences.

And remember-- we tried Prohibition here in the US and it was a disaster. The so-called War On Drugs has also been a disaster. I think that all drugs should be legal, highly regulated, and taxed.

By what metric are you confirming everyone involved in drug classification legislation is dependent on ethanol 🤔 I can't tell if this is purposefully obtuse or a really specific psychosis obsession. Alcohol and caffeine consumption predates the concept of drugs by 1000s of years.

The majority of drug users are not drug ADDICTS. Tons of perfectly normal functioning people take drugs for an occasional or semi-regular treat and don't make a lifestyle out of it.

If someone uses a drug they are a drug addict. Go the rest of your life without using your recreational drug of choice. Denial is a symptom of drug addiction. Just telling it like it is. Ain't my fault the truth hurts.

If a drug free society is never going to happen how come drugs are illegal? Make drugs legal, good. Make drugs illegal, good. Make some drugs legal and some drugs illegal, bad. Drug addicts use drugs. People are drug free. Denial is a symptom of drug addiction. Legal or illegal a drug is still a drug. Legal or illegal a drug addict is still a drug addict. What do you feel is the reason the 18th Amendment was created for in the first place? Drug addicts then and now are ignoring it.

No they don't, they do make those two drugs. They have poppy fields somewhere and make meth for the Asian market and abroad

User DOES NOT equal addict. You're an addict if you use to excess and if you feel you can't go a day without your drug of choice, if your life revolves around your next dose, if it's your top priority.

Somebody who enjoys a pint of beer with lunch every once in awhile is hardly in the same category as someone who wakes up and downs half a pint of vodka first thing. Somebody who does heroin twice a month isn't the same as someone who shoots up multiple times daily. There's such as thing as moderate use. Moderation by definition is not addiction. Trying to equate any and all drug consumption with addiction is factually incorrect. Declaring that the only alternative to total abstinence is reckless consumption is a false dichotomy. I work in harm reduction and one of the most impotent things we try to get into people's heads is that if they don't want to go full abstinent for whatever personal reasons, they can learn to moderate their use and stop being an addict.

Those laws were passed for entirely political reasons. Then the religious moralising of the temperance movement ensured that the general public equated sobriety with 'decency', a good character and being an 'upstanding citizen', and drug use with 'undesirables' and criminality. Since the US heavily influenced and even downright dictated drug policies in other countries, the puritanical attitude that was a motivating factor for many of those policies got exported as well. This borderline schizophrenia thought loop is not as poignant as you think it is. No one here is confused at what you're saying. It's just not a very complex or engaging point. Yes there is hypocrisy in the way alcohol seems to stand apart from other drugs, but alcohol has been a mainstream thing for 1000s of years and human society hasnt collapsed. People have been using meth forever and society has yet to collapse. Ethanol is drugs. Denial is a symptom of drug addiction. Our 18th Amendment started the War Against Drugs. How come the 18th Amendment was created in the first place? Ethanol drug addicts have been ignoring the 18th Amendment and are just simply making excuses. Ethanol drug addicts are using force against individuals who have a disease. Ethanol drug addicts are aware of what they are doing and they are still doing it. In my neighborhood that beer has to be in a paper bag or my ass is in jail. Again, inconsistencies on how to manage a disease. Denial is a symptom of drug addiction. What ever part of the world we are in ethanol is drugs and drug addiction is a disease.

Don't get me wrong I don't align with any party. They all corrupt ASF. I essentially live by the law of do what I want as long as no one gets hurt and you do the same. But also exceptions for when someone is being harmful to you, then they get their shit rocked...

Calling people Nazis on a whim devalues the impact imo. Besides they were actually very tolerant towards drug use and had health campaigns to encourage sensible drinking. So OP couldn't possibly be a nazi.
